Insulation, light control and a clean stack.

Cellular shades — also called honeycomb shades — get their name from the air pocket between the front and back faces of every cell. That trapped air is what makes them one of the most energy-efficient window treatments on the market: the cell is essentially a tiny thermal break, sitting right against the glass.

In Florida, that translates to a quieter AC bill and a cooler room next to a hot west-facing window. They also stack down to almost nothing when raised — perfect when you want the view back.

Single-cell light-filtering shade
— 01 / Single Cell

Single-Cell Shades

The everyday workhorse. Light-filtering and energy-efficient at a more accessible price point — ideal for bedrooms, offices and any room where you want the soft, diffused light without the full blackout.

Double-cell energy-efficient shade
— 02 / Double Cell

Double-Cell Shades

Two air pockets instead of one. Best-in-class energy performance — great for hot west-facing windows, sliders and any space where AC efficiency matters. Slightly thicker stack when raised.

Top-down bottom-up cellular shade
— 03 / Top-Down / Bottom-Up

Top-Down / Bottom-Up

Let the light in at the top while keeping privacy at the bottom — or vice versa. The most-loved feature on a cellular shade. Available on most single- and double-cell fabrics.

Why Cellular

Four reasons Florida homeowners choose cellular.

Energy Efficient

The trapped-air honeycomb is one of the most insulating window treatments you can buy — measurable impact on Florida cooling bills.

Sound Dampening

The same air pockets that insulate against heat also absorb sound — quieter bedrooms, quieter offices, quieter media rooms.

Compact Stack

Cellular shades stack down to a fraction of their drop. When raised, they nearly disappear at the top of the window.

Lifetime Warranty

Industry-leading lifetime warranty — backed by the family-owned business that put it on your wall.

Good to Know

Cellular shade questions, answered.

Are cellular shades really more energy-efficient?
Yes — and the difference is measurable. The air trapped inside the honeycomb cell creates a thermal barrier between your room and the window glass. Double-cell shades roughly double that effect. In Florida, the biggest wins are on west-facing windows and uninsulated sliders.
What's the difference between single-cell and double-cell?
Single-cell has one row of cells (one air pocket). Double-cell stacks two rows, doubling the trapped air and improving thermal performance. Double-cell costs a bit more and has a slightly thicker stack when raised, but it's the best choice for energy-efficiency-focused rooms.
Can I get blackout cellular shades?
Yes. We offer light-filtering, room-darkening and full blackout fabrics. Add aluminum side channels for the cleanest blackout — they prevent edge light leaks and add insulation.
How long does a custom cellular shade take?
Most orders are manufactured and installed in two to three weeks. Motorized units and specialty fabrics can take a little longer. We give you a firm timeline at the time of quote.
